Nespresso Lattissima Coffee Maker Review

The Lattissima is the next step in Nespresso's one-touch brewing. It can brew espresso and lungo in less than a minute, and accepts an array of capsules from the company.

It is also simple to program the machine to brew the exact size drink you desire. This is a great feature for busy households.

Simple to use

This black Nespresso machine that is basic in appearance, is simple to maintain and use. It has a minimalist, straightforward design and just one button on the top that controls powering, rinsing brewing and much more. It is easy to remove the lid, place in the capsule, and press the button to start brewing. It quickly heats up and provides a range of drink options such as double espresso as well as 5- 8 or 18-ounce coffees. It even comes with a steaming wand, perfect for adding a cafe-style milk texture to your drinks. While we love its easy interface and compact shape but we did find that the machine doesn't perform as well as more expensive models in making rich coffee and espresso. It's also not as simple to recycle the capsules as other machines in our tests. This Nespresso was not the top choice in our test of side-by-side for these reasons.

Quick to prepare to

The Nespresso machine can make a cup of espresso in just 15 minutes. The heated water from a reservoir enters a pump that pierces the small holes in the top of the pod. It then mixes with the compacted ground coffee inside and drips into your cup. We tested the machine with Jones Brothers and Bestpresso capsules, and it produced a rich and flavorful espresso with a slight nutty taste. We tried almond, whole and 2% milks, and all worked well.

Easy to clean

It is essential to clean a Nespresso machine on a regular basis both inside and outside. This will help keep it functioning properly and ensures that it's safe to use. It will also make the coffee you make taste better. You can clean your Nespresso using a variety of cleaners, including vinegar. It's best to employ a descaling agent in place of vinegar, since it can cause damage to the machine.

To clean your Nespresso machine, take out all the pods. Then, clean the drip tray and capsule container. Then fill a sink or a large bowl with warm water and add a few drops of dish soap. Let the drip tray or capsule container soak for a few moments in the soapy solution in order to dissolve any stain or gunk. Rinse the drip tray and capsule container with hot water. Then, use a nonabrasive cloth or sponge to remove any stains or residues. After scrubbing, rinse the drip tray and capsule container again and let them dry completely before returning them to the machine.

After your machine has been cleaned, it's time to descale. You can follow the directions in your user manual to follow a specific procedure. If not, you can make your own DIY descaling solution using citric acid or white vinegar. If  nespresso vertuo machine  using vinegar, be sure to use white vinegar, not apple or balsamic vinegar, since they are too harsh for this purpose.
